Data Validation Process

Results

Preliminary results (n= 33 hospitals) reveal a sensitivity of 53.7% (95%CI: 45.4-61.9) for PN and 60.9% (95%CI:44.5-75.4) for BAC and a specificity of 98.5% (95%CI:97.7-99.1) for PN and 99.4% (95%CI:98.2-99.7) for BAC. Those results are similar with those of the NNIS system of the CDC, USA {Emori, Edwards, et al. 1998}.
The results underline the importance of the validation study of the declared data on a continuous basis.
