Surveillance Nationale des Septicemies nosocomiales (Hospitalwide)

How to participate?

Participation is voluntary. Sending data according to the NSIH-SEP protocol amount to registration. The surveillance period starts the first day of a month (if possible January, April, July and October) for 3 consecutive months.

Requirements for participation

  • Status of a public or university hospital
  • Use of the case definitions as determined in the protocol: “Surveillance of Nosocomial Blood Stream Infections (Hospital wide)”.
  • Send the surveillance data to the Institute of Public Health (IPH) within 6 weeks after the end of a registration period.
  • Have a computer available to store and process recorded data.
  • Use of the NSIHwin software developed by the IPH
